Touchdowns for Kids Starts 2015 Season

KGO's Ted Robinson on Touchdowns for Kids and Tad Taube during the 49ers game against the Vikings (the first of the season) on September 14, 2015.

Now in its fifth year, the Touchdowns for Kids program provides another reason to celebrate the 49ers on-field success in 2015. With each touchdown, field goal, interception or sack, funding will be directed to select organizations to support their efforts to improve the lives of local youth. Since launching the program in 2011, the Taube, Koret and 49ers Foundations and supporters have donated $1.25 million to support Bay Area charitable organizations

In the Numbers:

  • $5,000 per touchdown scored by the 49ers
  • $1,000 per field goal scored by the 49ers
  • $1,000 per interception logged by the 49ers
  • $1,000 per sack by the 49ers

Final totals will be announced following Super Bowl 50.

We are proud to celebrate our fifth year of Touchdowns for Kids (TFK). This year, TFK beneficiaries, along with the beneficiaries of related programs Hoops for Kids (with the Warriors Community Foundation) and Goals for Kids (with the Sharks Foundation), will have provided support for over 500,000 underserved youth in the SF Bay Area. A record we can celebrate with pride. Go Niners!"
