As part of its support of a college campus tour on inclusion within the Jewish community, Taube Philanthropies' leadership was proud to meet 2015 Genesis PrizeLaureate Michael Douglas and Natan Sharansky, former political prisoner, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal, and Chairman of The Jewish Agency for Israel, at Stanford University earlier this month. The tour, convened January 28 through February 3, was organized jointly by The GenesisPrize Foundation and Hillel International, and also included visits to Brown University and UC Santa Barbara.

At each campus, the pair engaged in conversation about their personal experiences, and spoke with students and university communities, focusing in part on the importance of inclusion of those from intermarried families, a particularly personal issue for Douglas, who has worked to advance pluralism within Judaism.

Taube Philanthropies supported the tour as part of its efforts to advance the celebration of Jewish life on college campuses, and respect for religious tolerance and diversity.
